Ravenna Rapelling

Rapelleing rope, found dangling in ravenna park.

As I was biking home today through Ravenna park, I nearly ran over a large pile of climbing rope.  One end lay on the ground… the other to a bridge, at least 100 feet up.

Turns out I stumbled across not one, but two groups of rappellers, taking advantage of Seattles new 90 degree weather in order to dangle far above solid ground.  One group was just jumping off the bridge for fun, the other was practicing rescues for a glacier climb.

Made for an interesting evening.
